The FDA has a list of drugs that are in short supply or critical supply. The list is scary and I had to finally stop looking at it in order to lower my stress levels.

As a whole the US has become too dependent on foreign production of critical ingredients used to manufacture drugs due to the low labor costs (slave labor, sweat shops for example).

Granted if we take over the production of these ingredients and or items stamped "made in China" prices will go up on drugs and commodities. But that is the price of independence and security when times like these crop up.

I want to thank everyone for posting on this discussion. It has been both educational, stimulating and at times amusing.

There was a clip on NJ news last night about one town putting curfew on local bars and the resultant outrage - next clip showed bars in a neighboring town with wall to wall constant body contact patrons just having a good old time. Oh to be young and immortal.
CNN is running coverage of 'hotspot' breakouts in North Jersey.

Scary? Absolutely! Terrifying? Sometimes, since I'm in the slightly higher risk population - with asthmatic issues. Crippling? Absolutely NOT! I will soldier on!

Stores here are pretty barren. I have four goat bottle babies and couldn't find whole organic cow's milk for them but now, no milk at all. There was literally no produce, no beans, no rice, no toilet paper, no meat at a handful of stores. I decided to order a bunch of seed potatoes and garden seeds to bulk up my stock but a lot of places are sold out of those too. Can't find seed potatoes anywhere local at least and I live near I feel very big Garden Supply places. I decided do you get to meet bird but all I could get was 5 Rainbow Rangers and 7 random roosters. I've never processed my own meat birds but that will soon change. I'm wondering if I can breed them? Now, all local feed stores out of chicken and goat feed. I'm 20 million times more afraid of fearful hungry people than the coronavirus.
