Here and there, it's all about attitude and leadership. I think if we had some leadership in this country -- short of the governors and mayors who are doing their best to step up to the plate in the void -- we'd be a hell of a lot less panicky and more focused on realistic goals and getting past this crisis.

That's a matter of opinion, of course. The president of the US didn't drop the ball, the CDC did; part of the bureaucratic deep state he's trying to reform. Once he realized they were being too slow in getting out test kits, he privatized their production. So you have him to thank for expediting the process.

17 in Maine? Aw, man... I hope that church won't be canceled. I missed it on Sunday, so I really want to go this week -- especially because I've been finding it harder to focus when I'm praying. I think that missing Mass has jumbled me a tad.
Anyway, stay safe, everybody! I'll be praying for the sick, the dead and their families, and the still-healthy. Take care, everyone!

Your church should be cancelled they said no more than 10 people now. If your church isn't following it then that's putting everyone at risk.

I’m so over it. People here are acting like it’s the end of the world, there’s literally nothing on the shop shelves at all. It was mildly amusing when it was toilet paper and soap but now we can’t even buy dinner.

Has anyone read about the people testing and having all the symptoms and walking out when they're quarantined or the people giving fake names and numbers so they can't get their positive results

It just got a little more real for us. One death in our city, four deaths in our county, and one death in the county south of us.

I wasn't amused... I'm more scared less... I don't care what anyone says. I have a right to be. I think my family texting me constantly isn't helping it. When your brother who never texts starts texting and calling... You know there's an issue. He is a chemical engineer too so usually he knows all about my meds I'm taking before I even touch them.

Yeah, I was a little surprised when I went to Walmart today. Most of the canned goods were gone.
