That's about as bad as accepting free food from the government and throwing it away.

People that are used to being handed everything for free and don't pay a cent for medical care/abuse it.... Are the ones who need to suffer.
Agree 100% I was taught to never waste food and I still dont. Usually I'm a day or 2 behind my wife with dinner. I'm always eating left overs. I cant stand waiting food.
And yes it's real easy wasting and to throw stuff away if you did absolutely nothing to earn it

Try a collapsible luggage cart. It's lightweight and folds nearly flat. I close mine up with a bungee cord, which I use to hold bags in while I'm "totin'." If you have a particularly awkward load, you can ask for a box to put on the bottom, then build your "tower" from there.

So right and so clever!

I more or less did that. I originally used a folding hand cart with a plastic crate bungeed onto it. I still do when I'm loading up with plants or building materials or some such thing. But I got my grocery cart because it was a simple secure way to transport groceries a mile home when I had heavy things like milk jugs, etc.

Now it gives me the security that no one else has used it and deposited any virus on the handle. Hope your suggestion, MROO, will enable others to avoid that opportunity for contagion.

If you're processing them then cost would only be a factor for a bit, but I understand the cost. I haven't seen an increase because I don't go above a certain number.
I am allergic to counting chickens. But I have about 19 rabbits. I really hope I don't have to kill my chickens.

The media is just reporting what is happening. That is, they reported what the President had to say. They reported what the head of the CDC is saying. They report what is happening in in other countries. They report what Gov. Cuomo has said, and they have interviewed and reported what hospital workers are saying. That's not hype. That's journalism.

This is great, but the plant reference makes me sad ... :(.
I use my cart the same way ... but won't get the chance this Spring. One of the casualties of the virus lockdown is our annual Garden Market. It's the largest event our tiny little town puts on - and it's amazing. Every year for the past 23, on the last weekend before Mothers' Day, our 300+ year old church and grounds become a festival of color and Spring happiness. There are plants, hanging baskets, trees, fresh fruits and vegetables, yard ornaments, furniture, primitives, modern art, birdhouses and everything you could possibly need to start or expand a food and/or flower garden. We have demos on beekeeping, soap-making, tree pruning and garden art. And the food! Hot dogs to crabcakes, french fries to french onion soup ... it's there.
Well, it's usually there, anyway, but not this year. I understand why, and I know it's the right thing to do, but it still makes me sad ...

It's a shame they don't publish Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Wards catalogs. When I was young we had an outhouse and in it was a Sears catalog.
Oooo ... and it would be fun to sit and leaf through it, now. Remember the hours we spent as kids, poring through the "Wish Book" pages to make our Christmas lists? Holy Cow, thanks for the way-back moment! :)
