Afternoon all. We needed fresh veggies today and needed to fill our water jugs. There are tape strips on the floor at the market to indicate how far apart shoppers should stay from each other while in line and our checker was behind a plexiglass shield but wasn't wearing gloves. Interesting that.

Gloves are in short supply so perhaps it's a supply issue? Cashier at the Target I was at had gloves on and sprayed/wiped down the conveyor belt and touch screens after each customer.

None of the grocery stores I visited had plexiglass yet though I know certain chains are rolling those out.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if any of the others were wearing them. I imagine if they can keep from touching their faces it would likely be fine. Takes some pressure off the medical system, no masks needed either.

I read that most hospitals keep at least a normal six month supply on hand, but they are using far faster than normal.

Vaping appears to compromise lungs and make the teens and young adults who use vaping systems particularly vulnerable. We should expect a higher mortality for those groups in the US.

Males appear to have a higher mortality than females and individuals with Type A blood seem to be at higher risk of infection.
