MSM is so one sided you cant even watch it anymore. Its impossible for them to say ANYTHING good or even non bias about the current administration. Its disgusting and then theres people like iamrainey that obviously sucks all that in everyday and more than likely fact checks nothing. The worst place to find the truth is CNN and the like
I only have an antenna, but I try to watch several versions of the news and make my own opinion

Agreed. I do the same. Although I don’t really watch the news much anymore. But they all lie nowadays and they all have bias even if it’s only a little bit. Which is exactly why it’s important to read and watch a bunch and form your own opinions.

I live in Illinois. Animal hospitals are either all closed due to staffing issues or precaution, and the rest of us that are open are working as curb side service. No clients allowed in the building, phone communication only. It's hard. We have to be so cautious and distant, even during a pet owners hardest moments. Add on veterinary professionals are limited to how much PPE we can get as a clinic, so there is a lot of re-sterilizing and recycling going in.
Same thing where I work.

Not necessarily. It can take 5-14 days to show symptoms.

I don’t think it is airborne per se but I have heard it can live for a few hours in the air if someone sneezes or coughs?
Yeah that's droplets from your body, different than airborne.

I would've already showed symptoms (to myself). I can tell when something is wrong with me days before anyone even Drs can tell. That's how I caught the bacteria in my blood, I had no temperature or anything when I knew something was wrong.
Doctors and scientists say it is spread by talking and breathing. The particles stay viable in the air for hours.
Drs in NY are walking around without masks with patients who have Covid 19 and are not having issues. They say wash your hands and don't touch your face.

Im not sure but probably the shortage of face masks was an important reason to say that earlier on. Its important the hospitals , doctors, nurses and other people in health care have enough masks thats for sure. Maybe they where afraid people would stock face masks?

There still is a shortage of medical approved masks for hospitals. Now they know they can re-use them up to five times after heating. This makes a hughe difference.

For people in the stores and such there are more simple foldable masks available which are not secure but good enough to stop spreading corona from the sick to people around them.
The home made masks are not admitted for Covid protection in hospitals either, but also good enough for shopping or contact with people if made correct and sterilised.

I think competition (between civilians and medical workers) over limited quantities of PPE was definitely a consideration. I also read that there was concern among some at the US CDC that masks might give people a false sense of security or worse be seen as an alternative to social distancing.

Now that guidance has changed, it is important to make sure you wear the masks properly. That means putting it on and then NEVER touching the front of the mask. Remove it by the straps and then clean or discard it.

Another easy mask to make.

I like that there is wire top and bottom. Thinking that the heavy duty plastic coated wire ties would work well.

I am thinking homemade bias tape will work since elastic is in super short supply.

Thanks for sharing all these great tutorials! You could also use ribbon or fabric ties rather than earloops if elastic runs out. ( We use both styles of disposable masks at the lab I worked at). And just think, someday when things are better, you will have a whole supply of masks you can repurpose as chicken diapers!

Apparently because of the virus, Corona has ceased production in Mexico, even though sales are up in the US. That worried my wife so I bought her a 12 pack yesterday.
😯

I looked into this and it isn’t related to the name Corona or any negative connotation. Breweries are considered “non-essential” in Mexico and are being closed as part of the government containment efforts.

Glad you are okay FortCluck.

This virus does travel through air (about 6 foot). This way many people in groups, choirs, gatherings, parties an in bars are contaminated. Even people with the virus that show no symptoms can infect others by breathing out. If someone nearby breaths in.

Social distance is really important and life saving.

It works. In my country the number of new cases is dropping. And after two weeks there are less new patients coming to the hospitals,
I'm unsure how bad it's getting where I am honestly I haven't been paying attention. O stay away from the news.

I'm just very sore and really bruised. I have a frisbee sized bruise on my chest, but I have been laying low.

If you only have taken one view and one or more are dubiously factual, you can't believe it.
Thinking people, tend to use their heads and decide for themselves if information presented by pundits or even social media is believable.
I remember seeing a friend in the sporting goods department of Walmart. His cart was FULL of ammo. I asked him what he was doing. He said, "Obama is going to take away all our guns and ammo. Did that happen? No. It was a ruse because that would be unconstitutional and it was a scare tactic.
I remember when some warned that the Affordable Care Act, labeled Obama Care would create death panels. Did that happen? Of course not. It didn't make sense. But today, due to Covid-19, it is necessary because so many are dying so rapidly across the globe, doctors are needing to make a decision of who will be intubated and who isn't.
