One of the things my ex mother-in-law complained about, when they first returned from living in Japan (military), was that our culture had not adapted to better protecting those around them. Sick people there, would wear a mask, so their coughing, sneezing, etc., would not contaminate those around them. Young, and old alike would do this. It was a common sight, normal, and expected. It bothered her that people here would go in public, without any regard as to contaminating others.

I was thinking the same thing...At my office we had an employee who was Japanese and she wore a mask to work once because she had a cold. She was told not to wear a mask, it scares people

Do you mean that a company as rich as Walmart with the supply chain they have isn't equipping their workers?!?!?

Wish I could say I'm surprised but it's just one more of the horrible things I've heard about that company and that family.

Also, the Walmart people are heroes on the front lines supplying food for everyone.

I would rephrase it slightly...it's amazing how fast nature recovers after it smacks us in the face for trying to destroy it in so many ways

Look, you can't get any face masks these days. Walmart can't help with that. I like shopping at Walmart, the people are very nice, Walmart is a great place. No one can get face masks, I'm just trying to help, and don't appreciate your comment.

Walmart is a great place to work. It's hard for hospitals to get masks so how would Walmart? Thank you for helping these employees, you're amazing!

I agree and I don’t necessarily think it was man made but I DO think they are lying about stuff. Like for example, how is possible that they are the most populated country in the world yet still only have 82,000 cases? Or that the virus made it all the way to NYC, Spain, Italy, etc. yet hasn’t seemed to effect Shanghai or Beijing both of which are in pretty close proximity to Wuhan and also, coincidentally, very important cities for China? It doesn’t add up.

I still don’t think this means they made it in a lab but I do think they are lying about their numbers. And I have also heard that they still think that we infected them with it and are trying to blame us so maybe that is why they are lying?

I did find this article and apparently they investigated it and seem to think they are lying too.

Well, considering they literally locked people in their houses and shut everything down, unlike the rest of the world, it's possible I suppose. I don't believe them either though. I read a timeline of events and China tried to keep it all under wraps until it had already spread to the almost the rest of the world, even though doctors in that country were sounding the alarm.

And yes!! Exactly!! Plastic wrap is such a good description. Can’t breathe lol
