Look, you can't get any face masks these days. Walmart can't help with that. I like shopping at Walmart, the people are very nice, Walmart is a great place. No one can get face masks, I'm just trying to help, and don't appreciate your comment.

Walmart can be not a great place to be a worker, I think that's all Rainey was saying. On the whole, Walmart treats its employees badly in some ways. I'll post a link and pull some quotes. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't help out the workers, of course! I'm pretty sure her statement was just pointing out that Walmart can be a crappy place to work, and wasn't criticizing you for doing something nice for the employees :)

"Other critics have noted that in 2001, the average wage for a Walmart Sales Clerk was $8.23 per hour, or $13,861 a year, while the federal poverty line for a family of three was $14,630.[49] Walmart founder Sam Walton once said, "I pay low wages. I can take advantage of that. We're going to be successful, but the basis is a very low-wage, low-benefit model of employment."[50] "

"In January 2004, The New York Times reported on an internal Walmart audit, conducted in July 2000, which examined one week's time-clock records for roughly 25,000 employees.[78] According to the Times, the audit, "pointed to extensive violations of child-labor laws and state regulations requiring time for breaks and meals," including 1,371 instances of minors working too late, during school hours, or for too many hours in a day.[78] There were 60,767 missed breaks and 15,705 lost meal times.[78] "

"In March 2008, Walmart sued a former Walmart employee, Deborah Shank, to recover the money it spent for her health care after she was brain-damaged, restricted to a wheelchair, and nursing home-bound after her minivan was hit by a truck. Walmart sued the former employee for $470,000 after she received a settlement from the accident, citing that company policy forbids employees from receiving coverage if they also win a settlement in a lawsuit.[108] After a wave of bad publicity, Walmart dropped its suit.[109] "

Exactly!!! I was like “what a cute little old lady!!” 😂🙈 Not that you’re old!!!

And now that song is gonna be stuck on my head lol

And yes!! Exactly!! Plastic wrap is such a good description. Can’t breathe lol
Or it's like you're being water boarded or smothered with a wet hot pillow. That's how I like to describe it. Then ya breathe harder and it only gets worse. Trapped in a stinky hawt mask. Well maybe not stinky but hot.🤮

Well, considering they literally locked people in their houses and shut everything down, unlike the rest of the world, it's possible I suppose. I don't believe them either though. I read a timeline of events and China tried to keep it all under wraps until it had already spread to the almost the rest of the world, even though doctors in that country were sounding the alarm.
Yeah, exactly. It just seems super suspicious even with heavy lockdown measures. And especially considering they were trying to silence doctors and people trying to speak out about it.

If anyone thinks China is telling the truth, about anything, then you likely also believe there are sexy singles in your area waiting to hook up :D :D :D

:lau :gig :lau

Which really sucks! I know people who work there, by first name in many cases. It's like, should I support people I like or stand on principle and not give the waltons my money? Not that what I spend there is much, they certainly wouldn't miss me if I was gone.

I dunno, lots of people over what, 40? That's what you were taught as a kid. Old habits die hard.
There’s better information available now though. ;)

Plus, and maybe I’m a bit of a germophobe, but that would gross me out having my hand all slimy hahah

I do get the old habit thing though. Have a few of those myself. :D

Many years ago a friend gave me a copy of a New York Times magazine that was about influenza. They explained the viruses mutated and/or multiplied as a result of being passed between people, ducks and pigs.
In developing flu vaccine yearly, they watch what’s emerging in China because that’s where the largest concentration of people are living closely with those species. It’s a best guess yearly because vaccine takes time to produce and what shows up isn’t necessarily the strain that looked promising at first.
Consumer Reports magazine had an issue a couple months back dealing with the contamination of food here in the USA. As far as greens go, most if not all were attributed to large CAFOs in the vicinity where runoff contaminated the water. Even dust blown was capable of contaminating with E. coli apparently.
The latest information I’ve seen recently about the 1918 influenza pandemic says it started in Kansas in hastily built military encampments probably contaminated by hog poop. Since there was a war going on the media weren’t allowed to report it to the public. Spain which was neutral then reported it so it got the name. There was a very good documentary on PBS last week about this. Also one on WWI which touched on it.
Sorry big blah blah blah. I don’t even know if I have a point to make, maybe just that I think this is not lab related. Too many animals and people in close quarters with poor sanitation. Throw in global travel and Bob’s your uncle! The response to this is another story. I think truth and transparency is best. That’s going to be a continuing problem.

How do you know what being water boarded or smothered with a pillow are like!? I’m a bit concerned for your safety.... blink twice if you need help. ;)

Lmao
Well, I've slept with my face in a pillow before. Woke up gasping for air after dreaming I was trying to find a door leading to oxygen.
The water boarded part, can't say I've experienced that but I've seen it in movies and it made me feel like I was choking too sooo I guess it feels like that?
Ignore me, y'all I'm a bit out there.👀👀
