Can we not have a debate about gun use in a COVID-19 discussion forum, please?Guns are a very heated topic for many people and I would like to keep this a safe space for everyone! No disrespect to anyone, and if I’m overstepping I apologize.
One of our horses just had a choke episode. By the time the vet got here, he had cleared it on his own. It was really scary!
I had people try to take my hens in broad daylight even when there was no pandemic... They couldn't even grab one because the chickens freaked out and made a lot of noise the instant they entered the coop, I think. I ran outside when I heard the commotion and their coop door was unlocked and open after I had locked it. Thief was nowhere to be seen. Never had anything like that happen afterwards. It may have been the neighbor behind me but fortunately they moved outOkay so lets talk about chickens and coops . I'm well aware of animals looking at chickens as dinner. But with this pandemic you never know about people. My daughter got me thinking and I put a lock on my coop. Serious. Broke, bored, and bare pantry.

Well, depending on how this all goes down apparently people feel the need to protect themselves could arise. It's a possibility that people are considering. The conversation was about laws in each state, what the possibilities could be and defending ourselves and our families against assault or death. It's about how this is impacting our lives, what we are worried about, not the lives of random people we read about on the internet.More like some of the folks here are WAY more comfortable talking about literally killing people in times of emergency that are also just trying to survive (Since the discussion was what if there's no food and people want your chickens) than they are acknowledging that racism exists and thinking about how to confront it. As in, literally killing living humans is more of a children-appropriate topic than racism is. And that's deeply disturbing IMO.
There is a “Chicken Farmer Barbie”. View attachment 2079139
And sumo wrestler Barbie might be something someone might create to show.
Yeah, I watched one guy jump back when he noticed the dogDelivery people here move rather quickly on the way back to their truck.
Hubs friend knocks on the door then braces the screen door with both hands just in case. My wood door is never left open. He just doesn't want to find out if mine would actually bite him.
He owns hunting dogs so is dog familiar.
People always cross the street when I am walking my pitsky.....she is not pulling or barking or acting up.
Maybe! I don’t have a gun but maybe I need to keep my keys near the bedMaybe that's why people have a shotgun next to their bed...just the noise of bringing a bullet up, that cha-ching (whatever) is enough to drive anyone away. And not have to shoot anyone.
