I believe sugar is like the "fast" carb which is not good. But carbs are sugars and many carbs are "slow" carbs-takes a longer time to metabolize. In fact everything you eat is turned into sugar that the body can store or metabolize. It's one of those glycol*** substances.
Yeah that makes sense!! But even still I just feel like there’s more factors too. Like processed food in general is bad and also happens to have become a lot more common since the 70s so I’m not sure it’s entirely sugar and the limiting of fat. There’s people who eat fast food like McDonald’s or Taco Bell for every meal and/or Twinkies, Poptarts, Fruity Pebbles for breakfast then McDonalds or Wendy’s for lunch and Taco Bell for dinner. And/or don’t exercise at all. I’m sure all of those are a factor besides
just sugar I guess is my thinking. Especially given how salty most processed food is too. Inflammation and such.
But I do think sugar is bad for sure and they’re right about most of the stuff... that it’s addictive, feeds cancer, even the cholesterol bit has been studied more and I believe found to be true, but I wouldn’t say it’s the
only factor. But then again sugar is in
everything and all those processed cereals and snacks and stuff have sooooo much in them and it’s all people eat so idk.
I used to eat tons of processed stuff myself but really don’t now. I mean, I still do eat some, but I don’t eat like the boxed sweets and Zebra Cakes and soda and stuff now
But I feel like if everybody just switched to real, fresh foods, even if they still put sugar in their coffee or tea or whatever, they’d be a lot better off.
I feel like they came at that sugar guy kinda hard too.
Idk... it’s bad but so is the whole notion of this processed, instant ready, instant gratification diet/lifestyle here.
