It is supposed to be "BEN's" my roosters job, to see to it, that all the ladies return to the coop at night. He sure dropped the ball last evening! He usually never fails in his duties, and he doesn't have covid 19
One of mine in solitary right now and oddly, with him locked up, the other boy has been hanging out with the girls and they all seem much more relaxed. :lau

I will try.

The light parts are the hard parts that have not been touched. The first pic is the cross section

I believe sugar is like the "fast" carb which is not good. But carbs are sugars and many carbs are "slow" carbs-takes a longer time to metabolize. In fact everything you eat is turned into sugar that the body can store or metabolize. It's one of those glycol*** substances.
Yeah that makes sense!! But even still I just feel like there’s more factors too. Like processed food in general is bad and also happens to have become a lot more common since the 70s so I’m not sure it’s entirely sugar and the limiting of fat. There’s people who eat fast food like McDonald’s or Taco Bell for every meal and/or Twinkies, Poptarts, Fruity Pebbles for breakfast then McDonalds or Wendy’s for lunch and Taco Bell for dinner. And/or don’t exercise at all. I’m sure all of those are a factor besides just sugar I guess is my thinking. Especially given how salty most processed food is too. Inflammation and such.

But I do think sugar is bad for sure and they’re right about most of the stuff... that it’s addictive, feeds cancer, even the cholesterol bit has been studied more and I believe found to be true, but I wouldn’t say it’s the only factor. But then again sugar is in everything and all those processed cereals and snacks and stuff have sooooo much in them and it’s all people eat so idk.

I used to eat tons of processed stuff myself but really don’t now. I mean, I still do eat some, but I don’t eat like the boxed sweets and Zebra Cakes and soda and stuff now 😂

But I feel like if everybody just switched to real, fresh foods, even if they still put sugar in their coffee or tea or whatever, they’d be a lot better off.

I feel like they came at that sugar guy kinda hard too.

Idk... it’s bad but so is the whole notion of this processed, instant ready, instant gratification diet/lifestyle here.

With sugar, I cut down from 6 spoons to one . After a short while, one is enough and any more is like "too" sweet.

My favorite diet and the only one that works for me is calorie counting. This way I can eat whatever I want. Eventually it gets to where you can guess the calories. It also makes you aware of what you are eating. Like when I get the munchy hunger pangs at night I can reach for a Pregresso soup and the can is usually 150 calories -350 calories for the whole can. And soup makes you feel full. I never count fruit and veggies in my calorie count. Or broiled or baked fish. I can still have ice cream but it sure eats up my daily allowance of calories.
I usually put like 2, 3, 4, sometimes just pour in a tiny cup. usually a small spoon but still. I realized today though that I don’t even usually taste it before I add more and it’s actually usually too sweet for me and doesn’t fully mix in so I think I am wasting sugar and ruining my health for nothing. I’ll try one or two before adding more.

I’m not sure I could count calories or log my diet though. I’ve tried that before through apps and whatnot but it’s such a huge pain to do and I always end up forgetting or giving up.

I do sometimes have a problem with binge eating and/or late night eating though so it might help.
