I would like to see my daughters again and a few dear friends. This means international travel and as soon as this is possible and affordable again that is what I ma going to do.
I would like on those occasions when I go into the local village for supplies to sit outside one of the many Cafe/bars with a strong black coffee in front of me and a Cuban cigar in my mouth and chat to those who come by that I know.
I am not going to let the media and the hysteria turn me into even more of a hermit than I already am. I will of course take reasonable precautions as I would for anything that involves high health risk but reading here and on various other forums, I am not going to let this crisis turn me into a frightened old man who no longer feels able to mix with his own species.
I fear for the mental health of many who it seems have let this crisis paralyze their reason.
Sorry
I couldn't resist

You Kidding? You can't get food like that at a restraunt, That meal is deffenately home made!
Exactly!! To be fair though, I think the post was just read quickly and they might have missed the “all” part in “went all out”. ;)

But I’m pretty sure they don’t let you in the kitchen (the pan picture) or have counters like that at most restaurants either :lau :p

ETA: oh and thank you. :D

After NY and NJ, Michigan has the highest number of Covid cases. They're also very high in the death/M category. The Governor is probably doing the best she can when the federal government has singled her -- and the citizens of her state -- for personal abuse and a refusal of support.

I would imagine she's continuing to let those stores be open for essential needs but trying to make it unproductive for people to be out shopping for non-essentials.

Personally, I'm glad I'm not in her shoes trying to deal with the pandemic and the consequences of it.
Walk in a store buy beer and lotto tickets walk past the seed section not allowed to purchase to plant a garden home away from everyone, or paint a room in your house away from everyone.
Makes no sense to me.
I haven't seen any social distancing going on in reality, every grocery store, dollar store, automotive parts store, hardware store, gas station plenty busy.
Maybe they should just close ALL stores problem solved.
