In the USA - Hospital treatment of a 'covid-19 patient' - no proof ever necessary - gets the hospital an average US government payment of $13,297 ... if put on a ventilator, that triples to an average $40,218

So just 100 totally fake 'covid patients' and the hospital gets over a million dollars in fast US gov cash

"Hospital reimbursement for uninsured Covid-19 hospitalisations will range to nearly $42 billion"

This is corruption opportunity deluxe ... USA alleged covid infections and deaths 'worst in the world' ... because ruthless USA hospital companies are paid billions to say so, with no penalties for lying?

But trust the USA hospital numbers, tho, say world officials

An interesting view. I don't know enough about the various strata in the US health care system to know if the figures are correct.
It has been interesting that in the UK the much vaunted private health care options that various shades of government have tried to introduce in an attempt to avoid the ever spiraling costs of the National Health system were completely unable to respond adequately to the current virus crisis. There has been some debate whether the government should force private practitioners to join forces with the National Health system at the current National Health pay levels per grade to help cope with the terrible toll the virus is having on those who are having to care for the sick with limited resources.
Needless to say there has been a marked resistance from private medicine.

Ugh -20 here this morning, I thought we were done with that!?! For barn check this morning had to dig out my cg parka that I had tucked away with hopes of not needing it till next winter lol. On the bright side, I bet there’s a lot of people this morning grateful that they don’t have to warm up their cars and shiver their way to work!
Time for coffee and putting my feeties by the fire..

There's garbage in every country on the planet. It's called humanity.

Ohmygosh, your Billy sounds a lot cooler than my Billy was.

My Billy would eat spaghetti but that was the only good thing about him. He was the spawn of satan in pony form who hated 8 year old kids and did his best to inflict as much damage as possible to them whenever they were around. It's a wonder I can still walk.
My boy was amazing. I "rescued" him from a man who had three horses, two stalls and a blizzard coming. He was a lean, jug-headed two-year-old with big feet and a cockeyed blaze. His mottled blue-roan coat had very few spots, and was never the same from one summer to the next ... or the next ... or the next! He had razor sharp withers and a trot that would jar the horns off a bull, but I didn't care. I fell in love with his endearing nicker and the warmth in his eyes. He came home in the bed of a pick-up truck ... facing backwards & munching hay the whole way up I-95! He and I were partners for almost thirty years. That homely hat-rack (16+ hh) would jump anything he was pointed at, including a picnic table, and come back looking for more. And he LOVED people. The only reason we had a screen door on the front of the house, back then, was to keep him from walking down the front hallway into the kitchen. He knew where both the people and the goodies were hiding!
Oh - and he liked spaghetti, too. Maybe its' a "Billy" thing? :)

Have you ever sat on a McClellen saddle? Awful! Some of the Wintecs are nice, and I loved my Passier. Dressage saddles are very nice for general riding, not as much for jumping.
Mary
My first saddle was an old McClellan ... and yup, they're not comfortable at all. Still, with my gelding's bony withers, it was the only game in town until I could afford a "real" saddle. I wish I still had it now, though. I understand that they're worth a small fortune, if and when you can find one. Lord knows, I can't understand why, unless it's to a collector who has no intention of actually using it!

When life hands you loads of lemons, make lemonade.

Pretty sure I read only 20% of people put on ventilators come off of them. I really don't think hospitals in the US are putting people on ventilators to soak gov't taxpayer $$ and kill 80% of them.
Most people put on ventilators don't live whether they have Coronavirus or not. It makes your body not work and usually your body becomes reliant on it. My father was put on one years ago after a simple procedure gone wrong. He barely lived coming off it and he still feels off after being on it. He was healthy too and was on it for almost a month. He wouldn't even let me visit him in the hospital because he didn't want me stressed.
