Most of the posts I read here and on other social media forums are all about me; I want, I'm getting, I'm worried, I need support and the very fact that these posters can access the Internet and go shopping indicates to me they have absolutely no idea of what doing without means.
There are a few heartening stories that may restore some faith in humanity in amoungst all the political hate and personal greed. This is one of them.

Many, many parents are just now learning that the teachers were NOT making that stuff up! When and if all of this is dealt with and we're back to a regular school routine, be sure to send your child's teacher a thank you note ... and a gift card to a good coffee/tea shop!

Another good story, town my kids go to school (were lol)
For four days Conklin and his team gave away more than 1500 bandanas with instructions to make a face mask. The business owner will continue giving away bandanas along with food, and other necessities.
Jerry Conklin and his wife own a business in Sidney. Someone who loves to lend a helping hand, Conklin is making use of thousands of bandanas.
"I already own them, it isn't costing me a penny because I already own them. For the food bank, I'm taking that out of my retirement and buying food to give it away every day here. That's what this store is all about."

Ugh...I succumbed to the temptation and just ordered some chicks for June. *head/desk*

I tried and tried to resist, but I don't know what it is...once you get on the hatchery pages or look through the printed catalog, you are doomed! Still going to get an incubator too, perhaps next week.

Every time I look in here someone's talking about food. This lockdown is going to make everyone gain weight

Not me, I am losing weight! I cook and eat when I am happy and content. I am a little stressed under the changes in routine, and don't feel like cooking or eating, and have lost all my creativity in the kitchen. I only eat because I know I have to.
