I skipped a TON. No way I will ever catch up!

I did see this....
I think I found a solution to messy ducks and their water situation!
I picked up a washer drain pan, as well as some fittings to hook up to a garden hose. I am going to put the water jug in the pan, attach the hose, and run the hose outside, so when the ducks splash water out, it will drain to the outside.
I have to exchange the pvc cement that I got for the fittings, because the lid is cemented on. LOL
I'll post pics when I get it put together.

I think that is a great idea. Imma steal that if you don't mind.

I have my 7 sweet babies in a big brooder now. I set a 5 quart dog water dish in the middle of an 18" square shallow metal baking dish. I had to put a full one gallon jug in that water dish to stop the swim activities lol. So far it is helping A LOT.
Having a way to drain excess sounds like a good plan.

With youngsters (4weeks at least) if I put them out I do have a heat lamp in one roosting area so that they can be warmer. It also shows me how much heat they need. I can't help the risk of a heat lamp. But not that it will never happen, heat lamps have never started any fires with me and I do have them plugged into a surge protector. I could add a smoke alarm. I 've been lazy and haven't put it up yet. It seems to be sensitive to dust.
That’s neat!!! I usually do put the heat out with mine if/when I move them out but they’re usually off it pretty quick anyway with the heat plate/heating pad cave. I’ve used the plate with the last two batches and the cave with the first two haha

They don’t usually seem to need it after but I’ve also been doing spring chicks lately.

I also worry a bit that if the power ever went out out or something and they were used to a heat lamp they might not make it but then again it doesn’t get that cold here anymore so they’d probably be fine.

The other thing I've done is have the heat lamp on a broom pole and actually had it outside but shining heat inside the …….. My best. No worries, and easily adjustable.
That sounds like a good idea!!! I’ve looked at those Premier ones that are supposed to be safer too but so far haven’t needed one.

I must say though, I think the green bean casserole is my favorite part. :love

Mine as well, by far. In fact I only make it on Thanksgiving and Christmas so it feels more special.

If this is done well, which is doubtful but possible then it will take some pressure of parents and perhaps allow some of them to return to work.

https://www.catalannews.com/society...o-allow-children-out-under-certain-conditions

"underage children should be able to leave home under "flexible, progressive and revisable" conditions per region and local Covid-19 data, with time slots for different age groups. "

Uh.... go out to do WHAT? Are kids not allowed outside the house at all right now? They're sure wandering all over the neighborhood here.

Does the top one have feathered feet because it looks like a golden sebright
