I was going to say you would not believe how many friends I lost when I was diagnosed with what I have.

But I guess you probably would believe it

Sadly, yes, but you have to understand that I am old and jaded. I do believe in the innate goodness in man, but do know that the other side also exists. The sad thing is that I have never seen a time when the 'other side' has been deemed more acceptable. Let them die, they're old. Let them die, they have preexisting conditions. Let them die they are handicapped and non productive. Sadly the list goes on and on.

Oddly enough the only grocery stores I can find in my area that deliver to the car are ones I can't afford. Ha. Yes new precaution sent out constantly for work it makes it impossible to get are jobs done (construction field) and frustrating but we abide because we want to stay healthy

I don’t understand why people would stop being friends with someone just because they get a disease??? I mean, it’s not like it’s their fault or they want it and it’s not like it’s contagious...... seems to me like getting diagnosed with a severe illness would be the time to band together and rally around your friend, support them, not run away and leave them alone in the dust. But I guess some people are cowards. Care more about themselves and their feelings, how uncomfortable it makes THEM feel, rather than their friends feelings. But then again, I guess these people were never really true friends after all and would have betrayed you eventually one way or another anyway so I guess maybe it’s better to know that. I say good riddance. The real ones will stick with you no matter what and those are the ones that matter anyhow.

Yeah it's very sad. I'm an old soul I think. I care about everyone and their wellbeing.

I've reduced the amount of going in stores but my job is considered "essential" and still have to be out and around people all day long (just being as safe as possible about it) so going in the store doesn't seem As unusual as it should as long as I'm safe about it. Really only go for a necessities anymore

Pretty much the same thing I do. Go and be essential during the day then back home. For now we don't have to go to stores thank goodness.

His friends did dwindle but when he was going through that I probably around him more than I've ever been. He's back in action and cleared now and I can't even keep up with him but we knew someone with same thing that was not as lucky. Luckily social media wasn't too much of a thing to through harsh words around with

People also lose alot (all) of their friends when they get sober. But it's best that way
