Colorado has issued a statewide mandate to wear masks. It's about time, but the sad part is that most people in my town have already said they will refuse to comply and I also heard that our town Manager is not going to enforce it.
Utah is having the same response. A lot don't want their kids in masks at school.

I am vertically challenged but, I carry a $1tree plastic shoe horn/back scratcher thingy and it's great for bringing down(non breakables) from grocery shelves.

I find a lot fewer shoppers that ask if they can help me. Who cares??? I do always help folks who can't bend down to get items on the bottom shelves- even though getting back UP is often painful for me.:idunnoAsi es la vida

Hey @reddogmaster2 ...what do you think? Would coffee filters be good for gooey sink scum??

Coffee Filters would NOT work eliminating gooey sink scum. Bacteria can move freely through a coffee filter.

Regular cleaning of your sink using bleach and a calcium/rust/lime cleaner!will help keep your sink clean and stink free.

Hope this helps!

And you're right - history books are woefully inadequate, simply by design. It's hard enough to reduce a novel to a 90 minute movie. I can't imagine having to reduce a thousand years into one, semester-teachable tome. And on top of that, most are all culture-centric, as in, leaning toward the culture from which they originated. Sometimes it's because of politics, many times it's simply the writer's own experience or training showing. That's why we should never stop reading - and education should never be over!

I went to some good schools but as an adult, I was shocked to learn of a series of major conflicts in South America which never had a word written about in any of my history textbooks through grade school, high school and college.
Beginning with the Uruguayan war and culminating with the Paraguayan war, also known as the war of the triple alliance, some scholars estimate that 90% of the male population of Paraguay was killed. How did that escape inclusion in history books?
It seemed like the cotton gin was always there. Of course the World Wars, US Civil war, Vietnam, Roman Empire and China civil war were always included.

I like the back-scratcher idea. An extendable BBQ fork works, too ... and doubles as a defense weapon if someone wants to fight you for that last package of TP!

I don't know why I never thought to bring something with me, but I am known for grabbing something at the store and using it to knock the desired item off the top shelf. Though when the item is pushed back enough on the top shelf.....you know, when you take 5 steps back and can see it, but no way it heck to reach it even with a stick.... I will go find a tall person.

And yeah, that's me too. Always reaching for items on the bottom shelf for people or grabbing things for people who can't move well on their own.
