Coffee Filters would NOT work eliminating gooey sink scum. Bacteria can move freely through a coffee filter.

Regular cleaning of your sink using bleach and a calcium/rust/lime cleaner!will help keep your sink clean and stink free.

Hope this helps!
Bummer. No this does not help. 😞
I have asthma and lung problems from growing up with heavy smoker parents. I can't breathe and will have an asthma attack if bleach is anywhere near me. Most heavy cleaners and aerosols too. Thankfully my sink stays super clean and stink free, with more natural cleaners, but it's that gooey stuff that's beyond the bottom of the little sink basket thingy, where you can't get anything but a toothpick into, that is where the problem is!

Good to know about coffee filters though. I guess they catch the larger milk impurities in raw milk but not the tiny invisible things.

Speaking of coffee filters.... do you drink coffee? I do, I love it!!
If you drink coffee what's your favorite thing to put in it? I LOVE french vanilla creamer!! Like, I think it's the best thing since sliced bread. :love Do you like French vanilla creamer?? I think I saw you post that you are some sort of fitness fanatic.....one time I tried to make a "healthier" French Vanilla coffee creamer from scratch. Stevia, extracts, coconut milk, ...mmm...I forget what else, but oh boy!! That stuff was awful!! Do you ever make stuff for your coffee? Or tea?

Hey, I saw this story about angry parents without masks packing a room in Provo.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/s...-room-without-masks/ar-BB16PALa?ocid=msedgntp
I had seen that too.
Lost track of the people who have since tested positive or have been hospitalized after several large rallies in OK and I think the other was AZ? Seat markers for safe distances were also picked off the seats and masks were not worn.

Here kiddo and I are really hoping none of the neighbors get sick after the two recent large neighborhood parties. We may not have the same thoughts about how to approach Covid, but we really like some of our neighbors and know they have some health issues that could lead to a worse outcome if they became infected. Plus area hospitals are getting really full really fast.

Sink cleaning technique suggestion....
(And humour injected as well)

Visualize this cleaning is like cleaning a super small sauce/soup pot

Use one or all
1) old toothbrush, scotch bright thin pad without the sponge side, steel wool scrubber, icepick, screwdriver, dynamite, C4, plumbers crack, or toxic sludge
2) either sodium bicarbonate, toothpaste or both mixed
3) when was the last time the drain pipe and "pee trap" dip were thuroughly cleaned?

4) when cleaned and reassembled then it's time for a we'll deserved coffee break!

1.) Try Mrs Meyers all natural cleaning products. Probably better for your asthma and your septic system!

2.) I'll have a cup or two of coffee every so often. I prefer instant Coffee & Chicory. No filters needed. My pre-workout routine consists of an ECA Stack (Ephedrine/Caffeine/Aspirin and protein shake. Proper hydration is a must as well. Don't use French Vanilla Creamers, thanks for the tip.

3.) I enjoy Peach flavored Tea. Take the juice of a few peaches and add to your iced tea. Scrumptious!

4.) My brother just called and he went to a Walmart in GA and Walmart has begun mandating masks be worn. Doesn't bother me, I don't shop at Walmart much any way. too much support of Chicom products and not enough support of US made products!

Enjoying the conversation, you seem swell!

Re: 2- vinegar and baking soda together are the bomb! Literally.

Re: 3= No clue! It's a newer to me house. And I really dislike doing plumbing work. I can do it, but like dispatching chickens...I really don't like it!!

RE: 4- anytime is a good time for a coffee break!!

Probably, but would you believe even Mrs Myers are a bit much for me? Seventh Generation makes a decent line of products though as well as some stuff I find at Target. Usually I get by well with Dr Bonners and making my own products from castile soap bases that I make. Essential oils to. May not take the hair off a dog like bleach does, but it doesn't kill us either!

Chicory...I've heard about it but haven't tried it yet. And instant coffee?? :th🤢🤢 SO. Gross. I only resort to that vile stuff when the power is out and the only thing I can do is warm water on the coleman stove. Even then I still choke. Can't say I've tried the kinda unhealthy... interesting looking shake you mention either. I'm pretty sure French Vanilla would taste much better, but eh, to each their own I guess.

Peaches...something we can agree on wholeheartedly! Though I prefer to eat them, not drink them. Especially when they are from my own peach trees. Peaches, peach cobbler, peach butter, peach jam, peach ice cream, peach pie, peach buckle, chicken and peach salad, OMG... :drool:drool

Can't tell you about Walmart. Haven't been in quite some time.

Swell. 🤔
Like, as in "Gee Bob, you're just swell!" **hearty back slap** kind of swell?

Holy smokes you guys... I went out early to pick beans and spinach from the garden while watering, before the heat got really oppressive, but I was still too late. It was 86 by the time I came in and I had to shower just from picking a tiny bowl of beans! Ick!
I love me some winters here though! No more plowing the driveway every morning, busting ice, or carrying water buckets through feet of snow!

Ugh, no kidding! it's 94 up here; thankfully not too humid, but I'm eternally thankful for indoor projects today, haha. Got a PC set up and will probably end up painting our guest room at some point.

Ugh!
We did hit that here at about lunchtime. Bleh!! 🥵
As a less sugary vanilla coffee additive, try the Premier Protein drinks; my favorite is Caramel, in coffee, and they do also have a vanilla flavored one.
Mary
Hmmm, never thought of trying those. Good idea, I might have to do that. Thank you!
