I'm a teacher. I absolutely understand what you're saying, but I don't envy the administration one bit. Guidelines from the authorities are changing all the time, limited resources, griping community no matter what they do. I'm sure some could do much better, but I really appreciate leadership in our district.I've heard what is the nightmare from my teacher friends too and have great compassion towards them and all they are doing!! It's the districts, school boards, and the like that frustrate me. Frustrate my friends too because often they don't know what's happening either until it happens.
Two days before schools shut down in March, I asked the higher ups at kiddo's school what was going on and if a shut down was coming. I was told no and not to worry about it. Then Bam, closed.
Kiddo's teachers, especially the art teacher, went above and beyond for her kids. She still is even over the summer. Kiddo's teachers we love and respect very much....some of the folks above them...mmmm.
