My son is in his room literally choking and snorting with laughter. The reason: he’s in a zoom call with his best friends who he hasn’t seen since March 14th. Such a wonderful sound — but it has me in tears right now.
:hugs
I'm glad that he's enjoying himself and his friends. That's great to hear!

And I just added 10,000 sq ft to my run!!! I am so happy for my chickens. It’s so nice to go out there with them and just hang out. I want to make myself a simple bench for outside
For your bench ... might I recmmend a board across the top? It's wise to remember that chickens like benches, too. Whenever you go out to sit, you just flip the board over for a relatively clean spot.
Ummm ... voice of (nasty) experience, speaking, here! :D

I live in the nw. I get all the seasons. Freezing-snowing winters 80-100 degree summers.
Also same about the entire thing. Never heard that used. Always called my gelding, a gelding. A stud is a stud. Can say intact male. Grew up around livestock and never heard that. Maybe a regional term..
Uh Oh ... there's another auto-correct brewing here ... Wikipedia (big surprise here) has it ALL wrong! Some people use "stud" to describe a single, ungelded male horse, but in reality, that's a stallion. The "Stud" is the actual farm, or possibly the entire collection of breeding animals.
Zheesh, I love language ... even when it's frustrating!

Oh. Oh I see how it is. You're a dirty prescriptivist! Engard I say! Engard! Language is fluid and beautiful and definitions change over time and that's ok! I shall defend my descriptivist definitions to the death!
Just for the record ... and just in case someone gets the weird idea that we're really that persnickety about it ... This is FUN! :gig:lau:gig

Oh. Yeah. Just playing, haha. *puts sword away*

But nah, I do really like prescriptivist vs descriptivist language debates. And sometimes descriptivism goes too far. Like literally.

"If you line all the cars in the USA end to end it's probably Labor Day Weekend" -Doug Larson
Just thought I'd share a quote. :D
:lau probably true! 😂 sadly that wasn’t the issue this time though. There was no traffic on the way up or going the other direction till we hit this. 😭 turns out there were apparently power lines down across the road or something? We ended up turning around in one of those police turn around thingies when we finally got to it. Everyone else was doing the same thing and there were basically no cars the other way. Probably would have been there for hours if we hadn’t. People were out of their cars and walking around. 😂
