Wow scary! I'm guessing anyone with serious allergies should be extra carefulhttps://www.nydailynews.com/coronav...0201226-orb7z4ppbbaifaukfn6sddt6he-story.html
This doctor recommends having your epipen available if you have one and get the vaccine.
When I give flu shots at work I have a vial of epi on the cart so I'm sure that is true, however I completely understand the fear and hesitation of getting a vaccine if you have severe allergies of any kind. The potential for those with allergies to have a reaction is well known by the health professionals who give the vaccines. In fact, even for those without a history of allergies, they request people to stay on site for at least 15 minutes to ensure there will not be an allergic reaction.
I haven't experienced this myself, but I'm pretttttttyyyyyyyy sure that if someone has an unfortunate reaction to the vaccine, they will not be required to provide their own epipen. That's just ridiculous. Obviously, the medical staff have everything they need (including epipens) for treating an allergic reaction as routine practice at vaccine clinics.
