I think it has a lot to do with the breeder. Breeding for temperament, IDK? Most roosters I've had through the yrs were hatchery and most nasty. Had some I thought were good but after few yrs nasty. I got my Giants from Sandhill Preservation Center. Might not be a breeder, but not a hatchery either. Had Giants two and Red Sussex three and one Langshan roosters. Best roosters I've ever had.
Only kept the giants, hens and one rooster, gave my brother the other one. Calmest chickens I've ever owned.

It’s wierd how his demeanor is like a “cranky mr. Wilson “ most days toward me & the kiddos, yet at evening & nights [in the coop] he he much more docile. His telegraphing actions are the same but, a lot s-l-o-w-e-r. And then every so often - maybe 2 times in the last 8-9 months he was the same level of cranky at night. So I just picked him up, held him firmly in a cradled position in my arms with his feet interlaced between my fingers. He would try to squirm but, I would squeeze/cuddle him more firmly in my arm…. When he settled down I would slowly relax my grip on his feet and arm around him & his wings to the point he was just safely supported & not able to “fall”…

after a few minutes of that… 2-5 I guess… I wound - while still holding his feet together, shift him to a standing position and set him onto the roosting rail. He would calmly settle down and stay there a while- still “watching me “ but, not actively showing any posturing etc….

Not sure if I included reports of China applying for a covid vaccine patent when the out break first began, think that came out on Australian news. That and Peter Daszak when asked about Wuhan lab having bats, said no bats, no live bats, not how it's done. Sky news obtained video footage of live bats in the Wuhan lab... Lots of lies and cover up.

Did read this on New York Times;

We have in our country. Not much yet but it’s increasing. They say it wil take over the British variant within max 2 months. They hope vaccinating the 12+ too will help enough not to go in a kind of lock down again in september.
About 75 % of the 12-18 yr old say they will take a vaccine. This should be enough for group immunity because then they will reach an average of 80 - 85% fully vaccinated by september.

No sign of delta in my small county yet. My work just decided we don’t need masks as long as we are vaccinated. But also we can’t ask people for proof they are vaccinated, so it’s basically nobody will wear a mask anymore. I am fully vaccinated but I still wear mine because I work in the children’s section (at the public library) and the littles can’t get vaccinated yet. Probably an overkill, but I don’t want to risk getting them sick.

FWIW, my work started with no proof...they require proof now. I don't know how that works legally, but I guess the legal dept thinks the way they're doing it will be fine.
