Had a first death of someone close to me from covid. Worked with him for 18 years, he's worked here 35.
Over a week ago heard he was out, hospitalized for covid was bad prob not make it just first day then doing better. This Sat heard he was doing great.
I have sun mon tue off, wed heard he took a turn for the worst and could no longer breathe on his own. This morn he passed.
He was vaccinated.

I'm doing well, treating the asthma and improving. Out of quarantine too! Seeing the Dr. tomorrow, we'll see about the persistent cough...
So many folks out there without either the vaccine on board, or a face mask. Infuriating!!!
Mary
Glad you are doing better 😘

So sorry for your loss. My next door neighbor passed away a couple of weeks ago from covid. She was in the hospital for about 3 weeks. It was a real roller-coaster of emotions for the family, it seemed like everyday the prognoses was different, until the day she passed.

Way back in the beginning I doubted that a vaccine would be 100% effective due to the rapidity with which coronaviruses mutate. It's a fact that the vaccines are not a 'save all - cure all'. They are just one step in protecting ourselves. Social distancing and common sense are still necessary. Sad that the death of your co worker points out this fact. :(
