Correct Order for Specific Genetics in Breeding

I was thinking more along the lines of Fish as in a fish tail/tale. However, I have to point out an example of time of year phenotype in honeybees where bees hatched in summer have more yellow color than genetically identical bees hatched in cold weather. I've never seen anything indicating changes in phenotype for chickens depending on weather.
