Tylan works great in conjunction with a sulfa drug against coryza.
Tylan alone works good against mycoplasma diseases, but not alone against coryza.
Are you absolutely certain you were dealing with coryza and not mycoplasma gallisepticum in your birds? Symptoms of both diseases are practically similar.

Wwhatever it was made my infected chickens smell like meat. I gave them tylan and it went away. My two newest hens never got sick. None of my flock died. Just a week of sneezing and diarrhea

Not sure why anyone would want to let their birds get sick and then treat them rather than vaccinate to prevent it.
