well,,, the news now from Australia is that we just broke,,,,,everyone keep a very VERY close eye,,,we probably wont be told till after the elections,, but our financial state just hit bottom

im on another forum,, and in it are these "smart stock" people,, and their REALLY into $ and politics,,,and they just pulled EVERYTHING out,, saying something bout our financial institutes JUST went down the drain,,,, im not saying we're "doomed" ,, but if these guys are as scared and SURE as they are,,,it worries me,, ( and i dont get into $ and politics,, i dont trust either

) ,, but they sent me an email,, warning me,,,,,,,,, and usually if someone told me that,, i just shrug it off,,,,,but not from these guys,,,,,,,,is like listening to an old farmer when he says its time to plant ,,,,i dont trust people,,,but i TRUST these guy's advice.

Is it because our stock market hit bottom a few days ago????? Like a ripple effect? Sounds like our stock market is going back up for now but who knows Monday will bring!

not as much of the stock market,,, its what the u.s. is doing to bail out the banks too,, and our dollar hit way down,,,,,,and the stocks will come up a little,,, but that will only last a few weeks. ,,, i dont really know the "good stuff" is way too much reading for me,,,and im already "set" i was preparing 6 years ago,,, i pulled everything.

from what I read the commentors on the news, best bet to ride it out. Just hope we dont hit rock bottom! Not looking forward to seeing people hurt! Even those who had 401K invested.

I have not read any of the replies to this post yet, but can honestly tell you that for some reason, this year is different.
I have the really strange urge to stockpile supplies. We have stacked more wood than ever and with a strange urgency. I have canned for the first time in 9 years and with a passion. We seem to be reacting subconsciously to what is happening. It's pretty wild to think about. $ years ago I sold all of my canning supplies and jars because I thought I'd never use them again. Now I'm paying $9.00 a dozen and begging for any unwanted jars. I'm building my laying flock, which I had no intention of having a year ago. I think we may be in for a long winter here and perhaps everywhere. Hope I'm wrong...
