I really think it depends on the individual. We have an EE that is sweet and doesn't mind be held once you pick her up. We have another EE that wants absolutely nothing to do with people. Are Welsumers are the same way, some like "people" time other don't as much. What is odd though, is that neither of Barred Rocks is particularly friendly. That said, it's only been two weeks so I'm not really that concerned yet.
