That's why I'm confused, because no one with that egg color or size is acting like they're laying except for Athena, and that'd be an
awfully big egg for her first... Gwenyth, the NN bantam, wouldn't surprise me if she laid something that size because she's a bit bigger, but she's not convincingly looking like an egg layer yet. I feel like if it's from a pullet it has to be from Freia, but she hasn't even really hinted that she's wanting to lay yet even though her comb and wattles are red and her vent does look widened. She is a Cochin bantam in name only, I'd guess only a few generations out from crossing in Orpington bantams to make Chocolate Cochins, but she's huge for a Cochin bantam and more the size of an Orp bantam. Hard to say.

I'll have to take a closer look at my birds when I go out to give them breakfast in a few minutes here.
