Now I need to finishe the chickenwire baskets. I am making them different than scrambled showed. I needed them bigger and rectangle. I have two more to make. I need to come up with another type of easy basket/container for DH's step-mother, she would HATE the chickenwire baskets! They are a keep-up with-the-jonses type.

Then this week will be baking, baking, baking. I need everything done by Fri. afternoon. I will post more pics later.

Forgot
to show DGD's knitting. I have tried to teach her knitting for a couple of yrs. (I'm not very good, but know what I'm doing), she just can't do it. My DM bought her three different instructions for kids/teens, still nothing. She finally bought her round knitting looms. She LOVES them! She knitted her first hat right away, even while watching a dvd!

She is working on one for her cousin right now.

Since I was taking pics of crafts, I thought I'd take one of an ornament that I made many yrs. ago.

It is made from a walnut shell.

I will never buy from the store again! Even our health food store charged way over charges compared to what I just paid for TEN!! Thank you!!

Ornaments are very cute. I used salt dough many years ago and made all the Sesame Street characters. I pushed the dough through a tiny tea strainer to make the beard for Santa and the hair/feathers for cookie monster/ big bird. Had a ball doing it but no patience now.

I cannot wait to make my own vanilla now. Have to see about getting some vodka.

I just got an email stating my vanilla bean order has been shipped

Now that was extrememly fast. Scrambled Egg, like you, I had no idea you could make your own. I cannot wait to get some vodka tomorrow

Well I have now been elected to do about 8 of the rag throw quilts like the one pictured below. That's O.K. they only take about 6 hours to complete and with doing that many I should have it down to an art by the time I start the last one.

Looks like I am going to have one busy week. So if you all don't hear from me it is because I am covered and surrounded by fabric. I will try and tune in at least in the evenings.

Hope you all have a wonderful time making memories and wonderful gifts for you family and loved ones.

If you're not overtaken by the fabric your hand might hurt so bad from clipping them that you won't be able to type for a long time.

I finished the two rag quilts I made as presents last night. Here they are:
The first one is for a girl friend of mine, so I added flowers to the border:

This is for my parents, my dad is a beekeeper, thus the bee fabric:
