She said she just 'wanted too'...
She is a dear.

Edited to add 2 things.... 1---she (the lady who gave me the tray) with breast cancer Friday...she is having surgery Thursday. She is a trooper.
2----sorry, wrong date on pic. I take my batteries out often and don't reset the date...it automatically works on one for ya...and I have no idea what the time thingy is...or whatever those numbers are on the end...I just snap the picture...

I've been trying to learn how to make the amirugumi....I'm sure I botched the spelling lol I started with an egg shaped chick last night, and it turned out to be a round ball. So I put beans in it, and now I have a hackey sack

I'll try again tonight.

Gwen, I LOVE that tray!!!! Personally I would leave the scratches just like they are, the aged country look appeals to me and gives the tray a nice aged look..very very nice!!! Invite her over to the parsonage and serve her some of that great salsa you canned with some tostitos scoops on your new tray!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny Okie!! I can never spell that silly word either..much less make the stuff!! Alot of people are into that critter crochet but it's not appealing at all to me. I think there are several on the crochet thread that are pretty good at it though, probably get alot of help if you asked ..good luck!!

the amigurumi are difficult to make cause they're so tiny, or their parts are so tiny.

I made a couple of them for my kids, they turned out really cute, but I don't wanna be making those little legs and ears and such again any time soon!

haha yep I hear you on that...as far as crochet goes, it's not really that much fun compared to zoning out on a blanket or something. But I really hope that I come to enjoy it so that I can make more things for the kiddo's...so far no go on the enjoyment

I HIT THE JACKPOT!!!

I posted on my local freecycle that I was looking for yarn, material, batting etc. Because our DD in Afghanistan told me that the Egyptian hospital for the locals needs hats, socks, shoes, blankets, etc. for the children. They are wrpping the babies in several blankets because they have no clothes for them. Me and my DGD wanted to make hats and blankets for them.

I just picked up 6 LG. TRASH BAGS of yarn!!! DGD has a knifty knitter and in the last three days has made three hats. I will help her and I guess I need to relearn how to knit and learn how to crochet quickly!
