Crafters- What are you making???

Gwen that is sooooooooooo so so cute!!!!! Thanks for sharing that!! Maybe when the "green" wears off with my quilting skills I can make that, it sure is cute and so many folks on here are already skilled enough to make that, alot of them should be real excited to see that!! Hope the hands come out ok

I wanted them to hang...but that didn't work.

So, hopefully this will.

In case anyone is curious...this bucket, he's had it awhile cost $3.20 and it says 4lbs of dry mix.
It took...well, about 1/2 the bucket for the 2 hands...not quite.

I think it looks like a good plan Gwen!!! Be careful getting that glove off to not snap the fingers off!! Maybe you can spray paint them, much easier than a brush, lol!

That's kinda how I feel right now...(about this project)

Here are the hands out of the gloves, they came out super easy. No problems. Whatever they are made out of, or whatever was inside them...NO stick.

Now Monday, prime and paint...don't feel like it tonight...just got back, and well, nevermind.
Here are the pictures of the gloves off..

The reason I'm still kinda ho hum...they are big...even though I used small gloves...so with the black paint...maybe it will make them look smaller.
I've still got high hopes...

I can't wait to see the end result!!

Thank you for sharing this process with us!

Just a humble suggestion...Try painting the "wrinkles" from the latex with something textured, or putting some more texture from your bucket inside the wrinkles once the hands are dry, so you can cover up the wrinkles and make the hands more smooth...that way it's harder to tell that they are latex glove hands.

Gwen, maybe a nice white satin bow tying the wrists together would make them look a bit smaller, and as Okie pointed out, cover the latex wrinkles, maybe even tulle so it would fluff out a bit. What are you planning to sit them on? Is the premise we are pearls in God's hands or something like that? If so, maybe get a bag of polyfill and make a "cloud" to sit them on...sprinkle some silver glitter to break up the white and ta da, gorgeous..if you go that route I would use the satin ribbin instead of the tulle and wrap it a couple times around the wrists like they do in a binding ceremony and just trail the ribbon onto your "cloud", don't want that to overpower your pearl....yes, I would be so all over helping you with this, lol!! Right up my alley...
