Thanks for all the compliments on the block. It is an intermediate block from the McCalls quilt block site, and it didn't take very long to cut out and put it together.

Nice Job there Acres, when I get that new sewing machine I plan on trying harder blocks. Right now with mine throwing fits I am lucky to be able to sew a seam. I got the PM thanks.

Zoo- that's how I was a couple of years ago with mine. Then DH bought me my dream embroidery machine;that I still am having problems figuring it out!

How are you doing??? Haven't seen you around for awhile;although, I haven't been either.

I was glad to see you on the Grandpa thread. I been trying to hold my own. Knee is getting there but with this below zero weather and my fibro, nerve damage, and aurtheritis I am not having fun.

I am looking at buying that Viking Designer SE embrodery machine. It has came way down seeing as they got a new updated model. I am also looking at that mega quilter long arm that viking has out there as well.

Anyone have any feed back on those 2 machines?

zoo- I have the viking 950E. I LOVE the machine!! I just am having problems with the embriodery programs. I am computer illiterate to the max!! I teach myself everything .

DH bought mine on ebay for about half the price of what it was going for.

Morning....no hands. We got a call Thursday afternoon...had to go to hospital to visit with sick folk. Thought it was a heartattack, it's not. Seems they have an infection around the lining of their heart. Ouch.
Friday he helped folks move, he got in late last night...
Today...Today is my day...(I've turned his cell phone off...mine's on...but I'm going to screen calls ....shhhh)
Will take pictures of progress.
I did take advantage of my trip to town (hospital)
We stopped at a flea market on the way home, and boy did I find some wonderful things....books, books, and more books they are filled with patterns. There is an afgan pattern for a schoolhouse block...they have taken quilt blocks and turned them into afgans...I will take a pic..(if it comes out plain I'll show ya'll...well, I can just scan the book... hmmm...smilie for lightbulb coming on....)
Plus...many other books.
might take a picture of the pile.

OHHHH>>>>I forgot...found the MOST wonderful pattern for a quilt...it's in those books I bought...let me shut up, scan and show ya'll the picture...ADORABLE!

They call it a 'picnic' quilt...it even has napkins and corner pockets!

It came out of a hardback book called Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts by Pam Bono Designs
I paid $2.50 for it. It has 176 full color pages with patterns and directions in it...and tons of patterns!!
