Here is my first attempt at amirigumi. Well my first sucsessful attempt
The first one was completely circular so I turned it into a hackey sack
Here is my second attempt, and I think a better job. I'm still not sure what to make the eyes out of. I think the eyes on the yellow one are creepy, so I'm not sure I want to use buttons on this one. What do you guys think?
Also here are the boxes that I painted for my kids forChristmas last year..Sorry it took so long for me to post them. Sometimes I am really bad at getting myself to post pics.
Made three of these treasure boxes for the boys:
I painted this one for DD. Freehanded the butterfly. Wanted it to be cartoonish and girl. It's not finished in this picture. This was the only chance I had at the time to take pics of them so I took it unfinished:

Those are great! Perhaps this is a stupid question but what is amirigumi? I love the treasure chests. They are adorable! I enjoy making things for my son. I enlarged one of his many spaceship drawings and cut out felt pieces in the colors he wanted and sewed it to a t-shirt. He was so excited he designed his own shirt.
All I have to say about all the beautiful quilts is

Thanks!!
Amirigumi(not even sure if I'm spelling it right
) is a Japanese word for a type of crochet. I'm not sure exactly what it translates to but I think it means single crochet. But basically it's a bunch of single crochet stitches that work out to be a 3-d object, usually but not always animals.
OMG I LOVE the shirt idea!!! I am sooo stealin that! What a great idea Roses!! I have been wondering what I could make my boys for their birthdays and Christmas, you can only make a boy so many blankets lol I have my new idea for Christmas presents
I made a doggie rag quilt today.....whatcha think? It's 62 inches from head to foot and 56 inches from paw to paw. In the pics the quilt is on 2 -- 8 foot long fold up tables. Just for size.
It's up for auciton in the BST Section of the forum if your interested.
