This is the machine that I bought recently and I really love it. You can buy a cd on ebay that has patterns compatible with this machine card and then you can download additional embroidery patterns much cheaper than buying additional brother patterns. I chose to buy the PED basic with it and I have used it a lot already. Free shipping to the store near you or 97c to your door. A similar machine was a best buy on Consumer Reports.

Leepsy--showed the machine to DH (hint, hint). I like the embroidery options on it. I just need to keep looking and find a machine that will meet all my needs.

I happened across a crochet forum and one of the members had the pattern. She had posted a pic of the one she made (it was gorgeous) so I had to beg

. I believe it is an old Annie's Attic pattern that is now out of print. My DH said I should make up a few and see if anyone would be interested in purchasing, but I wouldn't even know where to start. This one is going on a trip with some kitchen towels at the end of the week.
