Thanks! Our "homemade only" Christmas gifts have been a blast for us to come up with ideas. We somehow convinced all of our family to go along with it so we are all bringing homemade or nothing to our celebration this year! So many projects and inspiration, so little time....
I put blanket stitch around some towels for my mother's christmas gift, if that counts.
Otherwise I'm still working on that knitted blanket (I swear this child will be telling me about his first serious gf before I finish this baby blanket!)
I have been making lots of beady goodies the last couple of months.............
But right now I'm on a new pattern I worked up. So far 3 are finished.
.
They can be used for ornaments (by hanging from the pull tab which is looped), used as a focal on a necklace, sewn to a favorite purse or made into a pin for a jacket.
I made these today. Made some last year too. I use a dremmel to put a hole in the top of the egg and a hole in the bottom. Then I blow out the insides. Rinse out the eggs, and then I microwave them for 2 min. to dry them. Then I hot glue a little fishing line into the top and fill in the bottom hole with hot glue. Then I paint the egg with glue and glitter them. They look cute on the tree.
