Here is a wall hanging that I am working on. I did the gecko blocks as part of a block exchange last summer. I still have to sew it together and decide on an edging. I think machine quilted with metalic threads.

I, too, am a fabric artist....and your quilt top is so pretty. I really like the asymmetry of it and the tall curlies you have there for the geckos to enjoy. Very nice. Will you be adding boarders? How will you bind your creation. Also, will you use poly or cotton batting?

I am no fabric artist this was desperation.

I think a dark border, as all my walls are white and I want it to pop off of them. Beyond that, I have no plans.

I'm quilting by hand the bed runner that apparently never ends. Seems like I should be finished with a whole bed quilt by now! I'm doing freeform, free hand heart designs on this one and will sell it here when it's completed, as I am piecing a fall/winter bed quilt for my friend in CA and need to be free to devote all my attention to that.

Here are most of the blocks for the fall/winter quilt requested by Ellie. I've finished 36 of them-waiting for a square quilt ruler so I can be sure they're all the same exact size before joining them (why do I have a 10.5" one, but not a 12.5" one???), then I have to decide how to do the borders. My design wall doesn't allow for the last vertical row, but you get the idea of the diamond design.

Love love love the quilting. I, too, like to hand stitch the quilting pattern and it takes forever from Sunday to get that stuff done. I love your work and fabric choices. I have a chicken quilt I made many years ago that I'm repairing. I gotta trim the borders after removing the binding. The hand quilting may be removed and redone...not sure just yet. My most recent obsession is softies!

This is quite clever...how does it stay on the sewing table? Is the pin holder stuffed with something heavy?

That is so cool! A friend made me a 'thread catcher' with a pin cushion on top something like this. I love, love, love it!!!
