DItto on the need pictures!!! lol!! Course I've been on threads with Miss Prissy and Jacie where they have talked about blowing the gak outta the egg and I am just not really into that so I doubt this will be one of MY projects but would love to see it and bet everyone else that posted here will try it!!! I would probably blow the end outta the whole egg or something crazy like that!! I did paint on gourd eggs one year for ornaments and still have some of those so I could maybe use your idea on them?! I bought them off ebay and they are the same size and shape as an egg, just no gak blowing, lol!

Hoosier, sometimes it's easier to learn from a good book or website, rather than from a person. You might want to try looking at pictures to learn. You have all the time in the world and can go at your own pace.

A good book or website will have step by step pictures to follow. Like how to make a loop, how to put the hook in the loop, how to wrap the yarn around the hook, how to pull it through the loop, where to insert the hook next, etc.

Sometimes a different teacher helps, too.

If you want to try again sometime, there are lots of nice people that would be happy to answer any questions you have or help you in any way they could. I know I would.

I have some Easter eggs that we do that with every year. We have a cute little collection. They're packed away in storage right now though so no pics sorry

But that reminds me. when I was little, one of my aunts used to make Christmas ornaments out of the leggs panty hose eggs. She glued ribbon, rickrack, beads, different shapes of sequins, lace, and decopaged (SP??) pictures onto them. I still have some. When it gets closer to Christmas, I can post pics of some. If I forget, feel free to remind me scrambled

come to think of it, I also have some that are made out of real eggs, but since I have three toddlers, those don't get put on the tree lol

Is anyone BAKING anything as gifts?

I bake dog treats every year for all my family and friends dogs, which can get quite tiresome...there are alot of dogs in the family!

I am going to try to work with my 'neice' so she can make pinecone suet birdfeeders for ppl in the family, that is, if my mom (who has custody of her) will allow me. She'd rather buy something and stick her name to it
