oh great! I started with making melt and pour for my girls when they were little...then made cold processed and really liked that too...its all fun. trying different bases,fragrance, and colors is enjoyable. I made a many character soap just to get my kids to want to wash when they were little.

I'm learning to crochet. Never even considered it before, but on Dec. 23, one of my sisters in law grabbed me and insisted on showing me two basic stitches, gave me three skeins of yarn and a hook. I have made two scarves, one in a shell pattern and one using two skeins of yarn at once-yes, they are flawed, but I finished them and they'll work!

Now, am doing fingerless gloves, an interest I have since I have painful hands from carpal tunnel, with tingling/numb fingers. Here's one of the gloves, a very basic pattern (who knew there were so many different patterns of these??).




And when I can figure out the instructions on this one, which are majorly confusing to me right now, I want to make this wrap for myself. Already have a 1 lb. skein of deep violet Caron yarn for the project, but am practicing other stuff in prep for doing this:

I'm learning to crochet.

I am jeolous... recently bought my self a crochet needle, instruction book and some yarn, haven't figured it out yet...suspect I need to find someone to teach me :-(

All you need are some of the youtube videos! They are fabulous! Some are better than others, more clear and easier to follow, but there are so many on the basic stitches and even walking you through complete projects. Check them out!
