Lori... I love all your stuff but the owl hanging and the bowl holder are my favorites! if you put that in the microwave with the bowl does it get hot? I always hate taking my bowl of soup out of the microwave cause it's so hot, wonder if that type of holder would be the solution ?

Yep I just tested it I put water in a cereal bowl in the potholder and nuked it for 3 minutes I could handle the bowl without burning myself and could of held it forever. I put a thermometer in the water it was 150 degrees. I have pics of the test I will post when I can get to pc

That's great !! I only have the patience to crochet small items. I am currently crocheting chicken potholders. I have a chocolate, a lavender, buff, and black. I am also starting to make cat potholders. Here are pictures of them.

Once upon a time, I was at a lodge in Germany. I came to breakfast and there was a teeny, tiny version of these (open on the bottom) on my boiled egg to keep it warm. I've looked and looked since then, and never seen anything like it until now. I want!

I was inspired by my friends' quilting, but I don't quilt. I adapted a quilt pattern to needlepoint. I'm not a kid any more. My eyes and hands aren't what they were, so I used a 5 mesh rug canvas. I reinvented gros point.

Since then, I've adapted other things to 5 or 7 mesh canvas. This I adapted from a punch needle coaster.

I'm currently adapting several of these motifs for kitchen seat cushions. Using the bigger canvas means coaster patterns becomes a wall hanging or throw pillow. Pillow patterns become rugs. The big canvas also means it's fast.

Another thing I like to do is beading. I made these snowflakes. They range in size from 3" to 9".
