I can't wait for canning season!!!! Looking forward to scrounging all the free fruit I can this year from co-workers with fruit bushes and trees!!!

In March I am going to cut my own grapevine bush back and I normally get enough vine to make two wreaths from that, maybe I'll get ambitious and try to shape a basket this time, lol!! Thats tricky with 10 feet of vine!!

I am quilt blocking for the slave drivers Wildsky & Amyquilt!!, Crochet squaring for the spring swap, working on something crochet for my daughter, have not sewn eyes on my chicken pincushions or stuffed those yet so I have a bunch to get done for my "project of the month", lol!!

I have a secret....it may not be this way at all parks...but you really ought to check.
There is a federally funded park my sister goes to, and is allowed to pick the fruit trees....in abundance...for FREE. As much as she can carry away.
Some may not allow it...some might not grow the fruit trees (and bushes)...but it sure wouldn't hurt to check.
I too am awaiting Spring.

I have been cutting out aprons to sew up and put on my Etsy site. I have tons of chicken fabric ones.
I might post them in BST here for BYCers to get first crack.

All this talk about canning helped get me in gear. I spent my lunch working on my order of seeds for the garden. Normally I would have ordered sooner than this, but I was waiting to make sure we were going to end up in the house before spending a bunch of money on seeds. I can't seem to make up my mind - I have like 8 different varieties of pumpkins on my list! I guess that's not so horrible since I plan to sell them, but it is still a lot!
