Crafters- What are you making???

It's easy. I'm starting with an 8 inch square piece of cloth that I cut diagnally twice (like an x) to come up with the triangles. The squares when sewn back together end up being 6 1/2 inches. You can make it any size you want though. My Grandma made me a quilt with that pattern for my high school graduation and those squares are 4 1/4 inches. The biggest thing is to make sure, as it's going together, that the points all meet.

This is the first quilt I have ever made and until last fall when I decided to try make myself a couple totebags, the sewing machine and I didn't even get along! I was lucky if I could sew a patch on something.

Forgot to say thank you for the directions..will be trying that

Do I need to add an extra half inch on the fabric when I cut it, to allow it to fit right? Kinda like that unwritten rule of quilt patterns...lol

You're welcome.

oooo those are pretty!
My backwards chicken apron is done! I put too much arm hole er wing hole. I tried to put a dilly in the middle to connect the two elastic bands, trying to take the easy way out, instead of just trimming the elastic. That didnt work, so I'm now going to do it the right way, and trim and reattach.

Last night put together my daughters Hair bow holder....
bought the H at Walmart...uhmm...$2? and then painted and attached ribbon to bottom...
When you have as many hair bows as she does...and spend as much money on them as I do...you want a good place for them...right now they take up 2 drawers and a basket...

I make most of her bows...but have bought some. But just the ribbons get quite expensive.
