Awesome job! Hoping my first comes out near half as well as yours!
What was the best part? Making it, or getting it finished? lol

I'm not sure. I still have some counted cross stitching to do on the backing and then putting the quilt together but, it's great to be this far!

I have two more quilts lined up already! A baby quilt for a great nephew whose baby is due in September and one for Peanut for her graduation (she doesn't even start school until this coming fall!).

I love the patchwork quilts! I look back at the ones made when I was a kid and can point out "mom had a shirt made of that, mawmaw had a dress in that material" ... they are such a memory maker.

Wow, I'm jealous! Quilting takes a lot of patience :)

Also takes alot of "hutspa" to stick those beginner blocks out there for the pros to see when you know what's crooked and doesn't match up so good, lol!!!!! Big learning curve with that craft for sure!!

Here's my latest silly craft, I posted this on the crochet chat thread

I was playin around with the dish scrubbies and made a fried egg...what do you think? lol!!! http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc150/Scrambled_Egg/yard/HPIM9996.jpghttp://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc150/Scrambled_Egg/yard/HPIM9999.jpg I made a couple several years ago and don't know what happened to them. Are they gift material or just silly? No pattern, as you can probably tell from the uneven stitches, just making up some DC to keep it flat...

Also...ya'll make sure to check this thread... https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=133102 pretty awesome how we got this lady to join the site and her crafting is so incredible!!!!!

The fried egg scrubbie?! LOL!! Easy, peasy lemon squeezy!!! haha! Go to the Family Dollar and pay a buck for the 6 pack of scrubbies, do whatever you need to with the 4 red and blue ones and then you have 2 yellows. All I did was stick my hook through the mesh and did a double crochet...I think I might would try a single though, I believe the smaller stitches would actually look better and just go around trying to hit the same level place around the scrubbie ..about every fourth stitch you will need to chain one between it and the next to make it lay flat..when the circle is made, slip stitch together and chain up 2 then repeat and add the chain one in between about every second stitch so it lays flat, make the round, sl st and chain up 2 and repeat with chaining on in between about every second one so it lays flat....make the round sl st and tie off..all done, easy peasy!!!!
