Crafters- What are you making???

Any of you that quilt: Do you need stabilizer for a t-shirt quilt?
I was supposed to ask that while at JoAnn's yesterday, but I got all choked up and just couldn't...

My baby girl lost her big sis last week and my mother is going to help her make a quilt from all her sis's favorite t-shirts. I'm too busy being sad to be much help

I've just started making a knitted afghan for our living room. We just got done painting the walls and putting down new floor so I figure the room could use a comfy blanket! I'm using size 15 needles and just a basketweave pattern so it should go fast!

I don't know anything about quilting but I'd bet you would need some kind of stabilizer since Tshirts are knit or they might stretch.
