Crafters- What are you making???

Haven't heard of that before. What makes it stick? Where do you get the freezer paper?

Sandee

You can get freezer paper at the grocery store. It's right next to the aluminum foil.

You can get freezer paper at the grocery store. It's right next to the aluminum foil.

Place the paper shiny side down on the fabric. You can peal it off and reuse it many times.

Thanks I will try that on my next sewing project.

Yesterday I started on a new Christmas tree skirt for our new tree. It's 42" in diameter. I embroidered all our names around the edge of the skirt. I finished it this morning and I think it looks great.

Now I don't have to buy one for us.

Cool, Acre, I've been wanting to make a tree skirt myself. Did you just make your own pattern? And do you live in a log house

My dream is to have a log home someday.

Pretty tree skirt Acre!!

I made a tree skirt a couple of years ago....I think what I did was just draw a semicircle on some blank pattern paper with a sharpie, folded it over then traced the other side. I'm sure it's not the easiest way to do it, but I am a sewing novice so that is how I did it

But I like Acre's method better!

Here is what I had been working on:

This is my daughters costume. I already had the skirt from an old princess dress, got a pattern from the internet for the poodle, and already had the ribbon for the waistband.

We got the box from walmart, bought ziplock containers, red spray paint, and red duct tape. I covered the box with inside-out wrapping paper that I already had. I made darts in the paper where the holes in the box were, to minimize crinkling. I duct taped the ziplock bowls to the inside and away we went.
