I haven't tried doing it over a bowl, although I have thought about it. My concern was that it would be hard to get the bottom flat enough for it to balance right. The way I did it was to take a bowl with an opening about the size of the album, place the record on top of the bowl, heat, then when it was soft enough, push it down into the bowl - that's how it ends up fluted. You could try doing it over an inverted bowl, too. You never know until you try! If you do, be sure to post pictures (you KNOW how we Love pictures!).

cknmom an purr, sorry I somehow misses your posts!

That makes sense cknmom. I think I might get away with it if I find ones that are warped and scratched

purr you're welcome!!

Darlene, do you still have the instructions for the chrochet washcloths you made for your chicken baskets? I really like the design of those, and I hope to be able to pump a few out before my friends baby shower on sat. If you don't have time to get it, don't worry about it! No rush there are other things that I can do!

I would still like the instructions so that I can make some gift baskets for Christmas though

Okie I think I counted 18 across witha small hook, like a g or h and then did single crochet until it was a good square size..they were real plain, sugar n creme has a pattern for dishcloths on every skein..I guess there must be millions on the internet too...I had so much else to dot hough, simple was what I was looking for!! Just make it up dependent on your yarn..likely a cotton type yarn though or it wont be absorbent.

That's easy enough lol I wouldn't mind finding some chocolate and light blue cotton yarn for them, I think that would be cute! But I don't know how much time I will actually have to make anything lol I had just planned on buying her several boxes of diapers(They're having twins), but since you resurrected the thread, I want to make things too!!

LOL!!! ME TOO!!!!! So many things!!! I found some more albums at goodwill this morning..bought two "sets" that had five albums in sleeves in each so they are all shiny and not very scratched up.

Okie, I have seen that brown and light blue cotton yarn made by sugar n cream / peaches n cream ...check ebay and see if you can get a deal on some..heck now, the shipping is way cheaper than the driving!!!
