Crafters- What are you making???

Pics
k, I went to A.C. Moore this morning and spent $94.00 on yarn and stuff. So I have to get to work now. I bought some to make mittens and socks and potholders and dishcloths.

I'm going to dust off my sewing machine and make lots of cloth napkins for my son, daughter and in-laws. We're trying to cut down on our paper products usage. I've been using cloth for years.

We draw names in my family. I'm the youngest of 8 children, so we draw amongst the 8 of us and also each of our grown kids, if they choose to be included.

So, whichever family we get, one thing they will get is an original painting by my dh. This is something we started 3 years ago, so everyone always hopes we get their name. lol

Also, I plan to do some other handmade items. Maybe soap, candles, pillowcases, cloth napkins, soap savers, pet beds if they have pets....what ever we come up with.

We are planning an entirely handmade Christmas gift. I hope to do the same with my kids things from "Santa". Trying really hard to get away from Chinese plastic toys in our house. Would like to go completely handmade and/or made in the USA wood toys.

last year i made homemade candles for the woman, old fashion candy for the guys at their request, lol, and little quilts for the little girls and the boys all got pillows.

year before homemade yummies and cakes for everyones.

Hey BearSwampChick - what kind of fabric have you found makes the nicest and softest napkins?

This sounds like a good idea; I like to be environmentally friendly.
