OMG I haven't even thought about christmas! My kids are bugging me to make one of my personalized quilts for the youngest grandchild. I always make a crocheted blanket (almost done) and a large fabric and batting covered "plaque" with ribbon trim and with their names in painted wooden letters glued on to use as keepsake boards when they are older (done) plus a sewn quilt with their names appliqued on (not even started).
She is going be 1 year old soon and winter is setting in and I haven't even started it! Oh boy I better get moving.
How about everyone else? I'm not the only one behind on my projects am I?
NO you are not! We moved this month and prepped the month before so I have only started a few stocking stuffers, boy am I going to be rushing during December
I was hoping others will chime in I am in need of inspiration this year!
Well I'm not sure how others feel about this, but I much prefer receiving gifts from the heart and labor, rather than going to the store and getting something I'll never use. Personally here on the homestead we give gifts from the homestead like smoked ham, bacon, turkey, homemade soap, homemade breads, cheese stuff like that, even candles we make, usually they are in gift baskets. We do have one maybe two that does not like it so they get gift cards. This year is going to be an exciting an year we have A lot of new things going on I'll share with everyone later. I do wish everyone a very happy holiday and may God continue to bless.
I am starting a quilt today. I bought the fabrics to make it and tomorrow will begin cutting out the pieces. I'll post some pics along as it progresses.
