Don't expect anything to be decided "right now this minute," or even today. Half of the Staff is at church right now, anyway.
Patience is key. Please follow the rules and keep any discussion limited to PMs or e-mail. Posts discussing other forums or sites will be edited and/or deleted, and repeat rule-breakers will probably be given a short "chill out" time-out from the forum.
In the meantime, if you want to sell something, go post an auction.
I personally don't see why you can't all open auction threads, and then have a "Master List Thread" of all the current auction listings. Link to your auction, and then discuss. That way, you're using the auction system, but you still get a place to chat.
By the way, the Staff members don't make money off of auctions. We are unpaid volunteers. The auction system keeps sales on BYC neat and organized, saving us time so that we can help on BYC elsewhere.
