Maybe BYC could make it a GFM only activity, buyers and sellers alike. They have other things that they can make only GFM, maybe start this up in a GFM only area. That would definitely generate income for BYC, I would bet ten dozen of my best eggs people would join just to play crazy 24.... Could the mods take it under advisement?

If my opinion counts....we should just leave everything the way it is until the last already listed auction runs out. That is only fair. I am very disappointed that this has been shut down!

also, for those on fixed incomes-dont feel like you cant pm sellers and ask for smaller amounts to buy. I have -and things have worked out beautifully...Sometimes I dont want 12 of 1 kind so I ask for 6 of 2 different kinds and hope for the best. Im always willing to help-swap-and trade for things Im just giving back what people have done for me in the past

So what does that mean........stricter rules.....different guidelines?? It will still exist though, won't it??? I was really looking forward to ordering eggs in the near future!!

If you have ideas or suggestions about the auction system, please PM a Staff member or e-mail [email protected].

Don't expect anything to be decided "right now this minute," or even today. Half of the Staff is at church right now, anyway.

Patience is key. Please follow the rules and keep any discussion limited to PMs or e-mail. Posts discussing other forums or sites will be edited and/or deleted, and repeat rule-breakers will probably be given a short "chill out" time-out from the forum.

In the meantime, if you want to sell something, go post an auction.

I personally don't see why you can't all open auction threads, and then have a "Master List Thread" of all the current auction listings. Link to your auction, and then discuss. That way, you're using the auction system, but you still get a place to chat.

By the way, the Staff members don't make money off of auctions. We are unpaid volunteers. The auction system keeps sales on BYC neat and organized, saving us time so that we can help on BYC elsewhere.

I cannot begin to list all the broken rules in this thread.

Honestly, I am astounded at the attitude expressed by some of you here where you can list just about anything you want in BSA for free-BYC takes nothing from it. I think someone needs to think a bit about the fair system that Nifty has provided and at no cost to you. Better back out before I say more. Good grief. I can imagine the uproar if the staff did get a cut of the proceeds! Sheesh. If you have suggestions, please send them as Lisa has put forth in her post above and don't continually post threads questioning moderation.
