Are you looking for any particular breed? Pure? I do mixed layers...my ladies are prolific right now, never even slowed down with the cold weather, and I'm covering them with a Salmon Faverolles rooster, which should help with winter production as well...

ha ha I turned mine off, I'd love to still be hatching and honestly I kinda need to be but I can't get hubby in the mood to build pens and brooders so I'm maxed!! I've got 2 brooders with half grown chicks in them and a Tv box with some month olds that need to go somewhere but I'm out of room. I got to counting I have 2 dog kennels with chickens 5 runs, 7 pens and 3 brooders full now..LOL over 100 chickens.

HOLY COW. and my bf complains of there beign no close in the walkin closet (chicken room) and my 20 chickens running the yard. for the last 2 days, he was suppose to build me chicken pens in his shed...well..it was his shed.

have 78 eggs at a friends incubating...so definately need more then 3 brooders...since i already have chicks in 2 of them... i'm waiting for him to divorce me without being married lol.

I have BO, Blk Jersey, Sussex, Wyandotte, Lgt Brown Leghorns coverered by a Blk Jersey Roo.

I really like the chit chat over here. I think the reason the auctions are a bit slower is because of what is being offered and because everyone bought so much already, lol, but it is pretty much still going good just doesn't seem like it without all the chit chat on the thread.

I have almost 200 chickens, 17 ducks and about 40-50 quail.

yeah I just shipped out 40+ eggs-the only box they would fit in was NOT a flat rate box so it cost me 21.70$$$ I only got 30 for them all so take 3-4 out for all that bubble wrap and packing supplies-paypal fees-and your personal time which it too me 2 hours to wrap them all-I say they were free!!! ALL that work and I walked with like 4$ I make 3$ a dozen for eating eggs haha..Im ok I just will not ever ship that many eggs at one time again, Then I "thought" the smallest flat rate box was small but not htat small-what the heck was I thinking? My auction up for biddng ends shortly and I posted 8$ for shipping when in all reality it will be 10.95 plus 75 cents delivery confirmation-so once again Im in the hole-All I can say is lesson learned from being a dufus!

I was at the po yesterday and the woman told me that the item I had packaged in a prority box would be about 1/3rd the cost to sip if it was packaged in a box of the same size, just not a postal priority or flat rate box. So I put it in a brown box the same size & sent it to Canada for $6.00. The price when it was in the Priority box was: $21.95

(I wasn't sending eggs)
