Hi guys, we have had five chickens in a spacious coop for going on two years now. The chickens have always gotten on fine, and are extremely passive compared to chickens I've seen in the past. This morning my dad got up to clean the cage and found four of the five chickens had blood pouring from their bottoms, they wouldn't come downstairs (two storey chicken coop). One chicken had what looked like feathers and blood on its beak and was chasing the other chickens around. We are kind of at a loss at what to do, since the internet says to seperate injured chickens, but we haven't got the room to seperate four chickens individually. Also, what do we do with the crazy chicken which is now isolated from the group? Please help, we are kind of panicked as to what to do

You should also spray Blu-kote on their injuries so they don't peck at them and make them worse. That might help enough that you won't have to seperate all 4.
I would also check for signs of disease, sometimes chickens get pecked when they are sick.
Hopefully they heal up without any issues and the crazy chicken calms down.

First def at least seperate them from the crazy chicken even if it’s the 4 injured in one and the other alone. Get the injured ones inside and cleaned up ASAP. If there’s that much blood you need to figure out what injuries are where first Send any pics ASAP.

We feed them chicken layer pellets (From new zealand as that is where we live) it advertises that it has a complete and balanced diet of protein energy and calcium. They also are given food scraps and greens from the garden.

so it is definitely just pecking in the bottom area, the problem is the injuries are still bleeding, we aren't a farm we live in town so my dads doing the best he can. I'll see if I can find a store here that sells blue kote, is there anything we can do in the meantime?

Sounds like pretty good diet. I’m not sure the brand of your feed I assume it’s your basic balanced chicken feed. I think this is s 2 step prob for you unfortunately. Fixing the ingured then figuring out why after that. By the way welcome to BYC. A chicken owners best friend! So many knowledgeable people here. They amaze me!
