this is very important too, seeing how the CL are mostly recessive Wildtype except for the Barring gene(and blue egg shell and creast) the way the EE mother looks will affect how the chicks end up looking.

This is the EE I have in the pen with the CL roo. She lays blue eggs also. She hasn't laid in a while so hatching her eggs is going to wait til spring. I cant wait to see what they produce.

nice... she appears to be a Silver (S/-) with eb(partridge brown) instead of e+, how do you know that? she lacks Salmon breast, she is mostly wildtype for all other genes except she appears to have Pg(pattern gene) she looks melanized...

a cross of her to CCL will produce gold females with pale salmon breast this females(e+/eb) will be also barred as the CCL hens...

this cross will produce single barred males that will be golden instead of gold or instead of silver(S/s+) they will be dark barred...

the male will look like the single barred CCL below(google pic link) but with a cream/yellow instead of gold

Here is what the roosters look like of this same cross. These chicks were rehomed and the picture is from a few weeks ago sent to me by new owner.

wow.. nice.... now you can see how a wildtype(e+ like legbar) and eb(Silver Laced Cochis are based on eb brown, some times also called partridge) as you can see eb acts recessive to e+ and the hens(your pullets) do retain some of the Salmon breast... but they will mature to have paler salmon shade.....

the boys oddly enough will have a Cream color to their barring. thats thanks to the Silver gene doing the Diluting of the s+(gold) gene....

wow... such a bummer...... as you can see the Boys will be Indistinguishable from Silver when they hatch.. They keep looking Silver untill the Hit Puberty, thats when their lemon color will start showing up..
