You didn't miss any previous posts by me. I like the idea of a rose comb legbar. Mainly this was just to produce blue egg layers.

I like the idea of this as well, after this winter when our CL roo got frostbite terrible on his comb and wattles!

Just hatched 5 CLB X Golden Cuckoo Marans. I think they should be auto sexing. 2 female and 3 males. Thoughts?

Well, to be really accurate one would need to know what the Araucana rooster looks like and his background. But these look like all pullets to me because of absence of head spots. Having said that, the Legbar hen passes its barring genes to all male chicks, so theoretically all males should have a head spot (unless supressed by something from the Araucana rooster). I am not an expert so you may want to wait for an expert opinion before getting excited about all pullets.

A group picture of my hybrid EE . Some are crested and bearded . Only 2 single combed hens the rest pea with single . His comb did not freeze .

We just hatched four chicks from Bielefelder rooster over a non crested CL hen. Can post photos of the chicks later The Biele roo is huge and a real sweetheart. The CL hen is very docile as well.

The four chicks do appear to have the auto sexing patterns on them with three having a blond spot on their head diffuse gold/gray down and the other a chipmunk pattern.
